Would you like the chance to influence future policy on major issues that will shape your rural community?
DAERA’s Draft Rural Policy Framework is an opportunity for you to express your views on what is needed and help shape the future of rural policy in your area so it is important that as many people as possible feed into this consultation.
Northern Ireland Rural Women’s Network is holding a Consultation event with our members on Thursday 26th August from 7-8pm to discuss DAERA’s Draft Rural Policy Framework. The Rural Policy Framework is the replacement for the Rural Development Programme which was funded by the European Union. DAERA is currently consulting on the Policy Framework and the deadline for responses is Monday 6th September.
The new Framework aims to create a sustainable rural community where people want to live, work and be active. The Framework focuses on five thematic pillars and associated priorities and will be a living document, flexible enough to respond to emerging rural issues as they happen such as the current global COVID-19 pandemic.
The 5 Thematic Pillars are: Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Tourism, Health and Wellbeing, Employment and Connectivity. Click here to download the Draft Rural Policy Framework and supporting documents.
