Siobhán has now completed five in-person focus group sessions and one online focus group session across Northern Ireland gathering information and evidence on the debts women have, why they need to borrow and the impact of the pandemic, rising food and energy costs and welfare reform on their debts.

Siobhán is continuing to work on individual case studies for the report talking to individual women in more depth about their debts.

A draft of the research paper will be finalised over the coming weeks once the results have been written up and the case studies completed.  It is hoped that the final report will be launched in time for International Women’s Day.
