Foyle Women’s Information Network was proud to attend The John and Pat Hume Foundation’s Peace Summit 2023 on Friday 3rd of March at Ulster University Magee Campus.
FWIN Co-ordinator Catherine Cooke spoke on the panel discussion addressing The Past, the Present and the Future, alongside Professor Duncan Morrow, Dawn Purvis, Rev Dr Livingstone Thompson, Cori Conlon and Jamie McAdoo.
The John and Pat Hume Foundation also launched their consultation document “The Unfinished Business of Peace and Reconciliation” at the Summit. FWIN Staff gathered an insight to the research findings, on how peace and prosperity can be best served as we near the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. We were delighted to engage with other Women’s and Community/Voluntary Sector workers and politicians during the two workshop sessions that were facilitated in the afternoon.
The Peace Summit 2023 allowed FWIN to collate a range of information and research on Peace and Reconciliation and we look forward to continued engagement with The John and Pat Hume Foundation.
