The Department for Communities is carrying out a programme of work aimed at refreshing the policy frameworks for the voluntary and community sector support.
The Department is committed to engaging with a wide range of organisations in the sector, including those supported through its existing funding programmes as well as those that are not. They are also involving other departments, local government, and independent funders.
They are also working with a Reference Group comprising a range of sectoral interests, through which they will draw on lived experience, expertise, and knowledge, and together explore a range of insights and ideas in the design of new approaches.
The Department would like to invite you to attend one of its workshops. The hope to use this opportunity to continue to develop an understanding of needs and priorities within the sector, as well as vision and outcomes for this work. Workshops are open to all voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.
