It’s that time of year where everything is happening at once, parents are scurrying around preparing for children returning to school for another year. Having to juggle work, childcare, uniforms prep, school meals forms and everything between to ensure that the transition is as seamless is an almighty task.
If you’re a parent who also works within the Community & Voluntary sector then you will probably find that you are also in consultation hell right about now. Governments want and need responses to every consultation that they written and the Women’s Regional Consortium will always respond, we have to protect the rights and make sure the voices of women are being heard.
Below is a list of the current submissions and consultations being worked on.
- Department for Communities
- Department of Health
- Department for Infrastructure
- Welfare Supplementary Payments
- Gaps in Equality Legislation
- School Uniforms Policy Consultation
- Safe Leave Bill Consultation
- Good Jobs Bill Consultation
The consortium is currently working with various Government departments and contributing to a host of consultations that have all been released at the same, any of these changes that they want to impose will impact on the lives of women, but releasing them all at the same time at this busy time of year with very little time to respond makes this a very busy season for community workers.
