NIRWN represented rural women working with the Department of Foreign Affairs Ireland on the Irish government’s fourth National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security.

We attended a Civil Society consultation online and followed up with attendance at Iveagh House, Dublin to work on the validation phase of the National Action Plan development.

It is so important that rural women’s voices from are region are heard and that they have opportunities to input into future planning for the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.

Women of our region have so much to share through their experiences of our conflict both past and present and so much to learn from other women internationally.
