NIRWN hosted NI Office officials in NIRWN on Tuesday 17th May. Issues raised on behalf of membership were:
- Impact of no functioning government
- The lack of female representation at high level civic society engagements; women are 51% of our population but their voices are not being sought or heard.
- Clarity needed around UK Shared Prosperity Fund particularly in relation to Rural Development and People & Skills
- The need to invest in women and peacebuilding as co guarantors of the Good Friday Agreement
- The impact on community cohesion of Ireland/NI Protocol, particularly as longstanding uncertainty remains.
- The need to provide regular timely, information to community organisations on progress.
