What is best practice for employers whose staff report sexual harassment in the workplace? And what’s the gap between that best practice and what actually happens in workplaces?
For the past two years, WRDA has been working with colleagues across the UK; Chwarae Teg, Close the Gap and the Fawcett Society, to look at this issue. We began with a research project, informed by surveys with employees and employers, to understand the landscape and identify the issues. This work made it clear that we needed to develop resources for workplaces to improve how these issues are handled. These resources – template policies, training for managers, and more – are designed to help workplaces respond more effectively to complaints of sexual harassment. We also hope to provide protections for workers so that they can get the assistance that they deserve, and signpost them to help if they find that their workplace is unhelpful.
Join us on 24th May at 1pm to hear about this work and the resources that are available. Speakers will be confirmed shortly.
