NIRWN staff and members attended a conference on Thursday 23rd June on the future of Rural Development Delivery which was jointly organised by NIRWN and RCN. NIRWN members had an opportunity to give their opinions on the future of their rural community and what actions they would like to see in their rural area. Findings and recommendations from the from the research report Looking Back to Go Forward – A Review of Rural Development Funding Processes and Delivery’ was presented by Professor Ruth McAreavey, Newcastle University.
