Siobhán continues to the meet with the working group for the Northern Ireland Child Payment Coalition.  The introduction of a NI Child Payment was a recommendation by the Gender Equality and Anti-Poverty Expert Panels and in the Feminist Recovery Plan.

Siobhán along with other working group members from the Coalition have met with the Alliance Party, the DUP and the Minister for Communities to discuss a Child Payment for Northern Ireland.  The working group is gathering evidence from academics and advice organisations on what format a Child Payment might take and what way it would work best.  The working group is also planning to meet with Department officials to discuss how it could work in practice.
