NIRWN will be hosting a rural focus group on Free School Meals and Uniform Grants.  Siobhán Harding, Women’s Support Network will be facilitation the focus group to listen to and gather the views and experiences of rural women so they can be reflected back to the Department of Education as part of the Women’s Regional Consortium response.

We know from our rural membership that free school meals and uniform grants are a vital support for many families which is their purpose but that many families feel they the resource isn’t adequate or isn’t always delivering the intended outcome of providing safety and security at times it is most needed.
